This drawing is one of two done of the walls around my (then) local swimming pool. I was initially attracted by the contrasting texture of the brickwork and the leaves.It’s companion piece, which is in the collection of the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge, was an angled view with strong shadows and contrasting clouds. Both are drawings of the mundane and reflect my fascination with the geometry of 30’s Architecture.
